Míčovna, a Renaissance building in Prague’s Castel Royal Garden, formerly used as “place for ball games” accommodated veterinary congress of Feline medicine specialists The IV. Veterinary Medicine Congress for Practice, that was devoted to infectious diseases of cats, was held in Míčovna at Prague’s Castle Royal Garden on May 20. 2017, where Bioveta, one of the sponsors of the event, participated as well.

Professor Michael Lappin (Colorado State university, USA) in his presentation briefly stated News in diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases of cats. Prof Lappin, on his lecture, mainly emphasised on feline ectoparasites as sources of vector infections for cats that are transmissible to dogs and humans.
Subsequent presentation was contributed by Dr. Václav Cepelcha (Veterinary and Pharmaceutical University, Brno, Czech Republic) who demonstrated differential diagnosis of hepatic diseases in cats.
The seminar was completed with an interesting contribution of Professor Cyril Höschl (Director of the National Institute for Mental Health, Charles University, Prague) on professional risks for veterinarians that include „Burnout Syndrome“.
