Content - 1 ml:

Immunoserum tetanicum equinum nativum   min. 300 IU / 1 ml     

Phenolum   max. 0.5 %

Indication:

For passive immunization of animals during surgery, injuries, etc. against tetanus. The preparation can be used for therapeutic purposes at the onset of tetanus.

Contraindication:

Not known.

Adverse reactions:

Mild oedema can be observed at the application spot that disappears spontaneously within 3 days. Anaphylactoid response can occur rarely after the repeated application.

Target species:

Horse, cattle, sheep, goat, pig, dog, cat and, if necessary, other affected animal species.

Dosage for each species, route(s) and method of administration:

Application:  

Subcutaneously, intramuscularly and intravenously.

Dosage:

Prophylactic        

• Big animals     4 000 – 6 000 IU  (13 – 20 ml)
• Small animals   2 000 – 3 000 IU  (7 – 10 ml)

Therapeutic           

•  Big animals       40 000 IU   (140 ml)
•  Small animals    20 000 IU  (70 ml)

The therapeutic doses are applied daily for 2 – 4 days and then depending of the health conditions of the treated animal.

Advice on correct administration:

Larger volumes of the dose should be divided and applied into several spots.
Shake the content before use. The preparation should be tempered to body temperature in water bath immediately before the application (particularly when applied intravenously).

Withdrawal period:

None.

Storage:

Store at a dark and dry place at the temperature between 2 °C and 8 °C. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the label.                     

Shelf-life:

2 years  
Shelf-life after the first opening – 10 hours.

5 x 20 ml, 100 ml.
