Bioveta became a proud partner of the VET Trends 2025 professional conference, an event attended annually by hundreds of Romanian veterinarians.
This year's edition of the lifelong learning program concluded with the VET Trends 2025 conference held at Universitatea de Științe Agricole și Medicină Veterinară din Cluj-Napoca (USAMV Cluj-Napoca). The VET Trends brings together over 400 veterinary professionals. Throughout the year, this educational series is hosted at multiple veterinary faculties across Romania. The aim is to ensure participation from veterinarians across the country, regardless of the geographic challenges posed by Romania’s large size and travel distances.
The main partner of the conference is BistriVet, our exclusive distribution partner in Romania, with whom we have maintained a long-standing cooperation — not only in ensuring access to high-quality veterinary medicines produced by Bioveta, but also in fostering the professional veterinary community, including practice owners, veterinarians, veterinary assistants, and zootechnicians. The scientific program focuses on canine and feline medicine, and features well-known and experienced lecturers. This year, the ophthalmology section was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Iuliana Ionascu, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Budapest, while the dermatology lectures were delivered by Ana-Maria Boncea, Dipl. ECVD.
Bioveta’s product manager, Karel Paukner, DVM, BSc, PhD, contributed with a lecture titled "New strains, new challenges: The power of vaccination against canine parvovirus." His presentation combined theoretical insights with practical examples and addressed the 2024 WSAVA Guidelines for the Vaccination of Dogs and Cats, prepared by the Vaccination Guidelines Group (VGG) of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA). The first presentation was delivered in April by our colleague Remus Pleșca, DVM, Ph.D., in Timisoara, while the subsequent sessions in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca were conducted in person by Dr. Paukner. Additionally, Jana Šnytová, the country manager, provided an overview of Bioveta’s over 100-year history.
Dogs have been human companions for thousands of years, and their popularity and emotional connection with people continue to grow. However, the risk of infectious diseases remains a real threat — especially to young puppies. An appropriate vaccination program ensures a smooth transition from passive maternal immunity to the dog's own lifelong protection. With its innovative range of vaccines, Bioveta has provided high-quality, reliable protection for dogs of all ages worldwide for more than a decade.
