Cycle of vocational training in Vietnam completed – Bioveta helps to improve animal care around the world Bioveta has been operating on the Vietnamese market for many years – it supplies vaccines for dogs, cats and pigs, and has therefore gained the trust of local veterinarians. As the standard of living in Vietnam rises, the need to provide quality care for companion animals is becoming more important. Veterinary practice is developing rapidly and the growth of expertise is a way for local doctors to become true partners of breeders who turn to them with problems that were not common in the past.

That is why, we have prepared a two-year online educational cycle in cooperation with our Vietnamese importer and business partner, which was ceremonially completed in August with a practical workshop on site.

Bioveta is deeply aware that a trusting partnership is the basis of good care for dogs and cats – not only thanks to high-quality vaccines providing protection against infectious diseases, but also thanks to personal professional support and active participation. That is why we have decided to be a visible and active part of the veterinary community and develop educational initiatives wherever we operate. Where we do business, we live – as partners, colleagues and experts.

In Southeast Asia, skin problems are among the most common reasons for visits to veterinarians. The humid and hot climate is a great burden on the skin of animals, which is why the dermatology program has become very popular among Vietnamese veterinarians.

Prof. MVDr. Miroslav Svoboda, CSc., an experienced veterinary dermatologist and teacher, was a lecturer and professional guarantor of the program. After educating several generations of Czech veterinarians, it is an honour for us that in his busy schedule and at the end of his professional career, he still finds the strength and desire to participate in the education of colleagues – not only in Europe, but also in Southeast Asia and Latin America.

After a series of online lessons, professor Svoboda travelled to Vietnam, where he completed a lecture in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and also led a practical workshop. He guided the participants not only through the theoretical foundations, but also focused on the so-called Day one skills – correct sampling, clinical examination of dermatological patients and practical diagnostics. The choice of treatment was also an important topic: because only the right diagnosis and well-chosen treatment are what return the animal to health – and make the owner happy.

Professor Svoboda's guide to Vietnam was MVDr. Robert Kuhn, Bioveta's regional director for Southeast Asia. This initiative is a concrete example of how a Czech company can share its know-how abroad and at the same time strengthen the reputation of the Czech Republic as a country that can export not only products, but also expertise and support.

Investing in education is investing in the future. And not only in Vietnam. For us, it is a commitment to build an environment where quality and professional care for animals is a matter of course together with veterinarians around the world.
