From May 28 to 31, Kyiv hosted the 21st USAVA Congress, the largest professional event in Ukraine dedicated to companion-animal veterinary medicine. Over three days, the congress featured 66 hours of lectures, numerous practical workshops, and countless inspiring encounters. Veterinarians, students, speakers, company representatives, and event volunteers gathered not only to learn and share knowledge but also to support one another and strengthen their common mission.
Bioveta has been a proud, long-term partner of the USAVA Congress. Each year, we are honored to support this significant event within Ukraine’s veterinary community. We’re proud to support professional development among colleagues who share our commitment to animal health for dogs, cats, and rabbits across the country. At our stand, we shared insights gained from using our products and collaborated on solutions to improve care for the animals entrusted to us by their owners.
Effective preventive care for cats and dogs depends on reliable vaccines and antiparasitic treatments. Bioveta offers a comprehensive portfolio, including the Biocan, Biocan Novel, and Biofel vaccine lines, as well as tablets and spot-on products to combat parasites. This year, due to unusually high tick activity, both veterinarians and pet owners have rightfully emphasized the importance of preventing Lyme disease.
The opportunity to discuss protection against the new variant of rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus (RHDV 2) attracted interest among attendees. This strain differs significantly from the classical RHDV 1, making vaccination against both forms essential. The congress offered a chance to share our positive experiences from other countries, where this vaccine has already proven effective, with the opportunity of one dose providing immunity against the most dangerous rabbit viruses.
Given the current situation, combating rabies remains a top priority. It is crucial to maintain immunity in both pet and stray dogs. Bioveta’s vaccines have a long-standing tradition in Ukraine, and we are proud to continue serving as a trusted partner in this vital field.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited us; it is a privilege to be part of a community that shares our core values: responsible care, professional expertise, and unwavering dedication to animal health and well-being.
