We Welcomed Ukrainian Veterinary Experts to the Czech Republic
Homepage News What´s new? We Welcomed Ukrainian Veterinary Experts to the Czech Republic
3.11.2025
From October 12 to 17, 2025, in collaboration with our branch Bioveta Ukraine, we hosted a diverse group of guests from the dog and cat veterinary practice. They came to us from various corners of Ukraine – from Kharkiv to Lviv. Although each of them has a different professional focus, they are all united by a strong professional desire: to help endangered animals despite very difficult conditions.
What Experts Did We Welcome?
Veterinarian Olena is the chief veterinarian of the largest dog shelter in Kharkiv. Her team of veterinarians not only ensures that animals receive vaccination against the socially dangerous rabies infection, but also provides loving daily healthcare for the dogs.
Mykola, a professor of veterinary dentistry and surgery from Kyiv, who is the founder and director of a blood bank for dogs, was an inspiring figure.
Practitioners from across Ukraine, who continue to provide veterinary care for dogs and cats even under the weight of daily exhausting threats, were also among the guests. They included three winners of a professional veterinary quiz that took place this February in Lviv during one of the veterinary social events.
The desire and need to meet colleagues despite the risk of air attacks is a great human heroism, and we also pay tribute to our Ukrainian team, including the regional director MVDr. Jiří Neužil, who participates in these events. Dr. Neužil is a regular speaker at these meetings. The last congress of the Association of Veterinary Practitioners for Companion Animals immediately preceded this visit to the Czech Republic.
The program in the Czech Republic included a tour of Bioveta's production and development facilities in Ivanovice na Hané, including a presentation of the latest technologies. They also visited a top veterinary practice and learned about the logistics and distribution of veterinary medicines in the Czech Republic. The cultural part of the program included a tour of Olomouc, and the South Moravian towns of Lednice and Valtice.
Despite the challenging conditions under which our partners work in Ukraine, their professionalism, determination, and optimism inspire us immensely. We are proud that Bioveta Ukraine continues to operate and provide support where it is most needed. We are pleased to be a support to these individuals in their fight not only against rabies but also against much greater challenges. We honor those who care for animals even in the toughest times.
