Vaccine against tetanus

Composition - 1 ml:
Anatoxinum tetanicum purificatum 300 KBL
Aluminium hydroxide 2%, sodium merthiolate, saline solutio.
Effect method:
After anatoxin contained in the vaccine is applied into animal's body, specific antibodies are formed that protect the animal against tetanus.Immunity onset can be observed 14 - 21 days after the revaccination and it lasts for at least 2 years (4 years in horses). Then another booster dose shall be applied. The next booster dose can be repeated earlier in the indicated cases.
Indication:
Active immunization in horses, cattle, sheep, goats and dogs against tetanus.
Contraindication:
Ill, cachectic and convalescent animals.

Method of administration:
The vaccine should be applied intramuscularly. So-called "dry needle" method should be used in horses; the dose should be preferably applied into gluteal musculature; the dose shall be applied into the neck or breast musculature in case of extremely agitated horses.
Dosage:
2 x 1 ml at 3-weeks interval in animals aged 3 months and above.

Warning:
Shake a vial before use.
Storage:
Store in a dark and dry place at the temperature between 2 - 8 °C. Never use the preparation if its shelf life given on the package has already expired.
