Statement of the active substance(s) and other ingredient(s):
1 dose (2 ml) contains:
Leptospira borgpetersenii serovar hardjo, type hardjo-bovis (inact.) Min. titration 32 determined by ALR*
*Geometrical average of the specific antibody titres determined by agglutination-lysis reaction (ALR) following vaccination of rabbit sera vaccinated by the batch of the vaccine that fulfilled the efficacy test by the challenge test in the target species.
Adjuvants: hydrated aluminium hydroxide 2% 7.5 mg
Excipients: thiomersal 0.2 mg, formaldehyde max. 0.19%
For active immunisation of cattle from 4 weeks of age against leptospirosis (serovar hardjo, type hardjo-bovis) to prevent infection, foetal infection and elimination of leptospires especially in urine.
Onset of immunity: 4 weeks following the basic vaccination (i.e. after administration of two initial doses)
Duration of immunity: 12 months
In rare cases of anaphylactoid reactions, symptomatic therapy is recommended.
After vaccination it is possible to expect reasonable local reactions of 5 – 20 mm in diameter, which are spontaneously absorbed during three weeks after the vaccination.
If you notice any serious undesirable effects or other reactions which are not stated in this package leaflet, please, inform your veterinarian.
Dosage for each species, rote(s) and method of administration:
Dose – 2 ml subcutaneously behind the shoulder blade regardless of the age of the animal (calves from 4 years of age, heifers and cows).
a) Basic vaccination
Two vaccination doses are required from 4 to 6 weeks and the second dose must be administered within4 weeks before insemination. The main effects consist in prevention of elimination of leptospires in urine.
If the second vaccination dose is administered within two weeks before insemination a marked prevention of foetal infection is achieved.
The calves can be vaccinated from 4 weeks of age; the basic vaccination requires two vaccination doses. Heifers are vaccinated once before insemination.
To maintain protective immunity, annual revaccination of one dose within two weeks before insemination is required.
Advice on correct administration:
The vaccine must be warmed up to 15 – 25 ºC and the vial must be thoroughly shaken before use.

Do not mix with another veterinary medicinal product.
It can be used during gravidity and lactation.
The effect of maternal antibodies on the efficacy of the vaccination has not been studied.
