The preparation affects Coccidia or bacteria development cycle and prevents its breeding. The preparation features with its wide efficacy spectrum that includes all important Coccidia species, and also Pasteurella multocida, Salmonella gallinarum, and Salmonella pullorum.The preparation prevents breeding of Coccidia and bacteria in an intestinal tract of poultry or rabbits, namely, both in the small intestine and blind gut and also in other GTI parts. The mechanism of the effect is represented by the competitive inhibition of para-aminobenzoic acid in the metabolism of bacteria and protozoa.
The preparation does not affect nutriment conversion and weight increments in poultry or rabbits. It shows no adverse effect both to egg laying and their quality. The preparation also does not affect incubation rate and viability of chickens hatched out. The risk of haemorrhagic syndrome is eliminated in comparison with other sulfonamides.
The application should be applied repeatedly for three days in order to reach its optimum effect.
Coccidiosis in chicken, turkey hen and rabbits (caused e.g. by E. tenella, E. necatrix, A. acervulina, E. brunetti, E. maxima, E. mitis-mivati, E. praecox, and also by E. adenoides, E. meleagrimitis etc.)
Bacterial disease in poultry and rabbits induced e.g. by Salmonella gallinarum, Pasteurella multocida, etc.
Also Coryza contagiosa, enteritis etc. in poultry.
The preparation shall not be applied to layers during the egg-laying period if their eggs are intended as food for humans.
Method of administration and dosage:
Chicken and turkey hens:
- Apply 1 g of the preparation per 1 l of potable water for 3 days. If necessary, the treatment can be continued or repeated without any risk. If poultry is affected by E. tenella or E. necatrix the preparation concentration can be increased up to 1.5 - 2.0 g /l of potable water.
- Apply 2 g of the preparation per 1 l of potable water for 3 days, interrupt the medication for 2 days and then repeat the treatment applying the same dose for 3 days.
Apply the preparation into potable water; prepare fresh solution every day. The treated animals should be avoided the access to any other source of potable water.
If water intake is higher than the volume calculated, water free of the preparation should be added during the day. Fodder intake regime cannot be changed.
The preparation can be also applied into fodder (2 g of the preparation per 1 kg of a fodder mixture.
Treatment regime kept for 3 days can be replaced by the following application regime:
Apply the preparation on the 1st, 3rd and 5th day (and 7th and 9th day, if necessary) or apply it on the 1st, 2nd, 5th day and 6th and 9th day, if necessary.
If coccidiosis appears from time to time only, the preventive application to animals is recommended, namely, at the age of 3 and 5 weeks.
Hens, which eggs are not intended as food for humans, should be treated at the beginning of a laying period.
Coccidiosis treatment should be accompanied with thorough cleaning and disinfecting of sheds, coops, hutches and tools. Vitamin preparations should be also applied before treatment or during it.
A fresh solution of the preparation shall be prepared every day.
The preparation, if added to fodder, is effective for 3 months.
The concentrated preparation is irritative. Skin and mucosa shall be protected during handling with the preparation and dusting of its constituents shall be avoided. Affected skin shall be washed with water!
Storage: Store in a dark and dry place at the temperature between 15 °C and 25 °C.
Meat: 15 days
Never apply the preparations to layers which eggs are intended for as food for humans.
