Vaccine against rabbit haemorrhagic disease

Composition - 1 ml:
Active substance: Calicivirus septicemiae haemorrhagiae cuniculi (solutio organorum) - min. 128 HA
Adjuvant: Aluminium hydroxide hydrated for adsorption
Excipients: Phosphate buffered saline solution, saponin, formaldehyde solution 35%, thiomersal.
After administration of the antigen contained in the vaccine in the animal body, the animal develops specific antibodies, which protect the immunized animal against rabbit viral heamorrhagic disease.
For protective vaccination of healthy rabbits against rabbit viral haemorrhagic disease. Animals are vaccinated from 10 weeks of age. If the epizootological situation requires vaccination before reaching this age (however no sooner than at 6 weeks), revaccination is necessary in 1 month. A full protection develops in 2-3 weeks after the vaccination and persists for 1 year. Breeding rabbits should be revaccinated each year.
Preparation for application:
Shake the contents of the vial well before use.
Ill and cachectic animals. It is not recommended to vaccinate doe rabbits in the last week of pregnancy due to hazard of abortion by a strong grip.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction
Combination of vaccines – concurrently with subcutaneous aplication of the vaccine against RHD the any application of a vaccine against myxomathosis (live MXT – according to enclosed Package Insert for the Vaccine against myxomathosis, produced by Bioveta, a. s., Ivanovice na Hané) is possible.The vaccine shall not be mixed due to their different characteristics.

Store in a dry and dark place at a temperature of 2 °C - 8 °C. The vaccine shall not be allowed to freeze!
Rabbits should not be slaughtered for meat within 7 days after the vaccination due to the possible local reaction.
