Vaccine against trichophytosis in fur-bearing animals

Composition - 1 ml:
Trichophyton mentagrophytes - min. 2 x 105 CFU, max. 8 x 106 CFU
Excipients: lyophilization medium, saline solution (0.8 % NaCl)
Diluent A 1 ml
Effect method:
Immunized animals develop immunity of a cellular and partially also humoral type. Immunitydevelops within 1 month of revaccination and lasts minimum one year.
Indication:
Prophylaxis and therapy of trichophytosis in fur-bearing animals.
Contraindication:
Administration of oral or parenteral preparations with antimycotic effects one week before the first vaccination up to two weeks after the second revaccination.
Interaction:
Simultaneous treatment with local or peroral antimycotic products is not recommended.
Method of administration:
Vaccine lyophylizate is reconstituted in supplied Diluent A.
Target species:
Foxes and ermines aged 1 month and more, rabbits aged 6 weeks and more, chinchillas aged 2 months and more.
Silver foxes, ermines and rabbits
Prophylactic doses:
- twice 0.5 ml
Therapeutic doses:
- twice 1 ml
Chinchillas
Prophylactic doses:
- animals aged 2 - 3 months: twice 0.25 ml
animals aged 3 months and more: twice 0.5 ml
Therapeutic doses:
- twice 0.5 ml
The interval between the vaccination and revaccination is 8 - 12 days.
Adverse effects:
In some herds anaphylactic reactions may occur within 2 hours after vaccination. Small surface scales can appear 7 - 14 day after the vaccination on the site of administration on the area of approximately 1 cm. Mentioned scales will disappear spontaneously within 2 - 3 weeks.
Note:
Vaccine shall be used within 2 hour after its thinning!
Warning:
Anaphylactic reactions may occur in some breeds within 2 hours after the vaccination. In such cases it is recommended to use products with antihistaminic effect (adrenaline, calcium).
Storage:
Store at 2 to 8 °C in a dry and dark place.
Withdrawal period:
Meat - 6 weeks
Shelf life:
18 months. The reconstituted vaccine shall be consumed within 2 hours.
Before disposal, used vials shall be inactivated. For inactivation use Ajatin 2 % solution or peracetic acid 1 % solution (for 4 hours) or thermal inactivation (for 2 hours at 100 C) should be used.

1 x 1 ml, 5 x 1 ml, 5 x 10 ml, 1 x 50 ml.
